Ban Amphur Beach
Rob's take
"The easiest quiet beach to reach south of Pattaya — clean sand, room to spread out, and small seafood restaurants behind for a long lunch. You need your own transport, which is exactly why it stays empty midweek. Expect to pay around 100 baht for a sunbed and shade, and stay for the sunset; it's one of the better ones along this coast."
Ban Amphur Beach is a beach or beach club in Sattahip, within the greater Pattaya area of Chon Buri, Thailand. It's rated 4.3★ on Google. Open 24 hours.
A quiet stretch of sand south of Pattaya, Ban Amphur offers a calmer, less commercialised alternative to Jomtien and the central beaches. Reviewers consistently praise the clean sand and water, the open space and the sunsets, with sunbeds and shade attendants on hand and small seafood restaurants nearby. Access is easiest by car, which is part of why it stays relatively uncrowded outside weekends.
