"The beach everyone sees first, and the one I'd send you away from for an actual swim — the water is murky and the jet-ski touts are relentless. What it does brilliantly is early morning: walk the front before seven, when the sand has been freshly raked and the city hasn't woken up. Then head to Wong Amat or Pratumnak for the day."
