"Most visitors walk Soi 6 once out of curiosity, in daylight, and that is a perfectly sensible thing to do — it is a short street and nobody minds you looking. What catches people out is sitting down without understanding that a drink bought for a member of staff costs several times your own and that the bar takes a share of it. Know that going in and it is a cheap hour; do not, and the bill is a surprise."
