Si Racha
Rob's take
"A working fishing town rather than a resort, and better for it — stilt houses, piers, temples and a seafront with no beach to speak of. Half a day is about right: wander the old town, then walk the causeway out to Ko Loi. Go in the late afternoon so you finish up at the night market on the island."
Si Racha is a day-trip destination in Si Racha, within the greater Pattaya area of Chon Buri, Thailand.
Si Racha is a working seafront town up the Chonburi coast from Pattaya, where fishing piers and stilt houses back straight onto the old town's temples. A long causeway runs out to Ko Loi, a small island at the end of the pier with views back across the bay and the town's high-rise waterfront. There is no swimming beach, so it suits a half-day wander for the harbour front and temples rather than a day by the sea.
