Ang Sila
Rob's take
"A genuine working fishing town up towards Chonburi, known for its granite mortars, fresh seafood and an old covered market — about as un-touristy as it gets near Pattaya. Come for a seafood lunch and a wander rather than sights. Best paired with Nong Mon market and Bang Saen on a day north."
Ang Sila is a day-trip destination in Ang Sila, within the greater Pattaya area of Chon Buri, Thailand.
Ang Sila is a coastal fishing community on the Gulf of Thailand near Chonburi, a short drive north of Pattaya. It is best known as a low-key seafood destination and for its traditional stone mortar-and-pestle craft. A good stop for travellers wanting a more local, everyday side of the Chonburi coast.
